Writing

Writing

Actually one of the best things you can do to keep your mind active!!! It don’t matter if it’s good or bad whether you have dyslexia or any other problem that might hinder you ie spelling, grammar! It is still a worthwhile exercise.

Especially to write something from the imagination and bring it to life pen to paper or fingers to keyboard!!! It is an expressive art that we all have the right to its magical, time consuming, diplomacy to keep going if writing a novel and getting through writers block.

It’s also a craft in the technology age that can’t be lost!!!! Plus look at how many successful authors and journalists there are. Its also for people who are not great talkers a great way of finding expression and reaching a far wider audience.

It gives children whole new worlds and to use there imagination and where everything is now instant, learning kids that though it may seem boring it broadens the mind and enhances in a way few things do.

Whether adult or child being able to write, to express feelings and share what is in our heart and soul in such a way. Is a huge blessing and necessary part of human life…..

When not to say anything

When not to say anything….

Blimey if you anything like me when you know the wise thing is just to let it be you somehow can’t let it go!!!

Mindfulness is sometimes easier said than done.

More often than not people don’t like pure honesty even if it is right and I guess I must fall into that category take things to heart all the time, think the world and everyone I know is out to get me….

Or as happens most often read something and take it totally the wrong way and make huge mountains out of what is only a blip!!!! And then tell someone exactly how feel.

Plus worse keep repeating history and make even more idiot of yourself than normal if that’s possible and over think!!!!

Plus it’s a crushing feeling when heart seems to over rule head and instead of just letting it pass emotions get in way and you do react to a situation.

Having done yoga and trying to find my own inner guru tending to over react to things which don’t involve me, wont matter in ten years time when it’s the here and now the present which really does matter.

– Not what could be or reliving a past which can’t be changed!!! Or reacting to something you don’t know the outcome off.

The later making over thinking, paranoid imagination and to much time on hands where everything you think possible could go wrong does. As it’s really own emotional black mail to trip up, sabotage self and end up on constant cycle of unable to get out a situation or be in constant state of lack.

This is not what anyone wants even though it’s a trail many end up in myself included whether over sensitive or whatever.

Stepping back and letting it go is actually far easier and lifts whole burden of what you think might happen.

Reading above I know I jump in more often than not drawing wrong conclusion and punishing self for nothing. I not sure why this is such a part of human nature to make our opinion heard or that our weaknesses become more apparent – the whole ego thing!

Maybe it’s why the rise of eastern guru magic and yoga and so forth is more prominent now than ever – learning to let go is not easy as ego will always in some form be there but it is a necessary if we have to change and grow and learn from our past….

Not sure if any above relevant to anyone else I do suffer from depression and coming into autumn/fall weather my mood has went way down and feeling stuck in a situation where whatever seem to do is only making it worse not better or over trying being to eager to please.

Maybe due to making one situation – so important I have totally let my emotions rule everything and ruin the opportunity there!! As said self sabotage is about as destructive as anything and being own worse enemy.

Ok I stop and hopefully there is something in above – that letting be and seeing what happens instead of pushing for what want and remaining silent even when you feel like otherwise is masterful!!! To simply not say anything instead!! Amen to that and yes it’s a fools end to react and one that those of wisdom and experience don’t need told!!!!

Today’s Thoughts or rambling Brooke!!!

Today’s Thoughts – positive vibes wee bit inspiration

In short life is never what one expects.

Somehow we all think by our forties that we have children, family, house, a good well paying job etc

But sometimes this just is not the case things happen we loose our path or way in life, we fall on hard times the road is never simple or easy.

Yet though hard it is some days when you just want to stay under the covers roll into a ball and cry then look on the plus side….

That you are alive, you have a pretty unique one of a kind and that you are worthy of what this world has to offer.

All of it…

Now that is in itself a miracle and every day is a privilege whether a good or bad day it’s called experience and to have family of any sort is something we don’t all have.

So in short thank who ever is up there and be aware though there is always hard times and experiences they pass and make us stronger.

So breath deep and do the best not everyone is going to like you for who you are but be yourself counts for a lot.

And we are all just passengers in this life so make the most of each moment enjoy family, parents, children, nieces and nephews etc Love

Nature plants, animals being able to talk and walk and walk out into that big wide world no matter what it throws at us…..

Ok and I stop before I go into a huge ramble

Chicken Tagliatelle with lemon and onion

Chicken Tagliatelle with Lemon

1 lemon plus zest

Good pinch or two of Thyme dried herb & mixed herbs plus Aromat

Salt and pepper

Strips of chicken into small bite size pieces (chicken is grilled in conventional oven). 179grams for one person.

2 Tagliatelle pasta

8 small baby tomatoes halved

Olive oil

1 challotte or half red onion chopped

Small sprinkle of white cider vinegar

You might have seen similar but this is my take on grilled chicken in a conventional oven!!!

Put grill up to full and heat.

Meanwhile prepare chicken by putting in oven proof dish (small lasagna dish I used) remember cut chicken into bite size pieces.

Wash hands grate zest of lemon and then juice the rest of lemon sprinkle zest over chicken and pour juice in

Add all herbs and season along with white cider vinegar to taste. Massage all ingredients into chicken.

Wash hands again add, challotte or half onion chopped, tomatoes halved and olive oil and little more salt put all this in grill.

Keep close eye on turn grill down slightly and take out and turn occasionally so as chicken is cooked thoroughly and completely. This takes about 25 mins in hot grill.

While chicken is cooking put the Tagliatelle in boiling water and cook as per packet instructions.

Once pasta is ready keep about 170ml back with the pasta put back on heat add the cooked chicken, tomatoes, challotes (all from lasagne dish) into pot continue to cook on simmering heat for five to ten minutes should have lovely sauce from herbs and tomatoes and onion and chicken be lovely and tender. Lovely easy dish to make.

Make sure all ingredients are mixed in pot and serve.
